Cantu rests below the shelves with the urns for the other hounds. Top to bottom they are Glow, Stephanie, Bliss, Tommy and Bullet. The bottom photo is a portrait we had done of all of the hounds before we got Cantu.

I added Bullet's tags to the bronze with the other hounds' tags. Glow, Stephanie, Bliss, Tommy and now Bullet.

We said goodbye to Bullet today. He is 14 years and 7 months old. We have had him longer than any of the others in the pack and it has been very painful watching him slip away from us. Bullet has always been full of energy and always wanted the girls to chase him. He would lead them on chases around the trees in the back yard and was always playful with them. He really missed his buddy Glow when she passed away, but for another year and a half he had his sister, Bliss, until she got bone cancer. Bullet never got any diseases or had any medical problems in all of his life. He was our healthiest hound. Even at the end he was able to go outside to go to the potty. He just stopped eating and was starting to fail. We loved him so much and it has been hard to see him go. Now we just have Cantu. She is healthy and doing well and I hope she continues so for some time. Losing Bullet has been like losing the whole pack all over again. He was the last connection to the original pack of five. Now his remains are with the others on the wall in the family room where they would all lay and spend time with us.

Bullet has been licking a couple of spots and making the fur turn pink. I have tried to clean it, but he keeps at it. I suspect it may be painful joints. He will be 14 years and 6 months old in a few days. Cantu has been doing OK except for her chronic corn problem.

I picked up this Erte` poster at an estate sale. It makes a great addition to our greyhound decor.

Cantu really enjoys rolling around in the nice fresh grass. Many times she will go out there and lay in the sun and then pop up and run to the door when she gets done sunbathing.

Cantu and Bullet have the living room to themselves these days.

Cantu went to see Jenifer Barker again to get her corns removed. The front left required bandaging this time, because she had to dig deep to try and get the seed out. The front right hasn't come back yet and the left rear was small and easily removed.

Bullet has been hanging in there longer than we have expected. Today he is 14 years and 4 months old.

Bullet naps a lot these days, but not always with his tongue hanging out like this. I thought this was a hilarious picture and could not pass it up.
